The Nightmare Before Christmas by Ray Stevens
This song by Ray Stevens has been out for a while but he has redone it, and it seems to fit with the way progressives view Christmas.
And Merry Christmas to all, and my all progressives find coal waiting for them on Christmas Morning.
(Its even more terrifying for them to find coal because its a fossil fuel.)
Solomon.

The Death Tax
After listening to Geraldo Rivera with some other progressive type on how lowering the Death Tax, I have had it with these Death Tax nuts.
I have the ultimate fool proof argument to use against these socialists, Most (if not all) Small Businesses worth anything, have all of their capital tied up in land, merchandise, equipment, and/or investments, they don't have millions sitting in a bank account or in a mattress. So if a Small Business or Farm owner dies and their worth is $3 million if you tax at just 40% that means they have to come up with $1.2 million to pay the Imperial Federal government, and how do those grieving heirs pay the only way they can sell the business or farm. Now who can afford to buy a business or farm worth $3 million? One answer, the big corporations and very rich with the cash to do such a transaction, the very groups that these progressives claim to hate, they are the ones who push the small businesses or farms of America in to the hands of a few, usually their few.
And then we have The Weiner with this wonderful statement from earlier in the week, see video below,
Where to start, where to start, well first Mr. Weiner THEY ARE NOT INHERITING CASH MONEY! Sorry for the caps but I really wanted to emphasize the point, Small Businesses and Farms that pass to the next generation don't have heaps of cash laying around, if they did Mr. Weiner might, might have an argument for people under fifty million of worth. I have also heard some compare inheritances to casino and lottery winnings, first that is just offensive as hell, as some who has lost a relative if you said that to my face you would be on the floor holding your nose, second that argument is another fallacious one it must assume that the inheritance is predestined for the person by the Fates, which then means in order to equal things out it is predestined again by the Fates that half of that wealth be taken as if some ancient Greek writer had wrote it.
Lastly I think Mr. Weiner has been watching and reading to many episodes of Richie Rich, but I find one of the last scenes from the Richie Rich film (1994) from a few years ago much more representative of the rich and wealthy here in America, when the villain finally gets into the Rich family vault he finds family trinkets and memory related items, when he demands an explanation, he finds the Rich family keeps their money in banks, the stock market, and real estate because they simply did not value money. That is the way most wealthy who do not let the love of money run them, men like George Soros though I believe would not, and does not under stand this, as do many on the left and progressives.
If Weiner represents the thought processes of the progressives and those on the left, if they keep speaking like this and we keep them out of the republican party the country will be in a better state in a few years.
Solomon.
P.S. Since many Progressives will say they do not have a love of money I will simply preempt them with this, then why is it that you always go after the income wealth and not the interest wealth, such as the kind earned by Soros, Gore, and many more on the left? Perhaps it is because you know that people who actually earn their wealth with businesses that provide a good or service will prominently lean towards freedom, capitalism, and individualism then what Progressiveism leans towards.

Geraldo Rivera and how World Trade Center Building 7 fell.
So I am watching Foxnews and Geraldo Rivera's show comes on and I get to hear Geraldo Rivera give credibility to the 9/11 truthers with this World Trade Center Building 7 suspicious collapse bull. Well I have proof as House would say "Geraldo, your an Idiot!" I summit as proof of this a clip from Modern Marvels episode 11-60 Engineering Disasters 13, it was first aired on November 16, 2004. The clip I use has a different narrator but is almost word for word for the episode I have on DVD, (I played them simultaneously and their are only a few word differences, such as however instead of but.)
This I why I as an aspiring writer, even for fantasy related stuff, I do research on my own, in the interview no mention is give to the unusual nature of the building's construction and base the power station, and other related stuff isn't brought up. This should now be enshrined in the "Why you should do basic research a high school drop out could do and make you look like the biggest idiot since Custer" Hall of fame. The wost thing of this is now I am going to have to hear 9/11 Truthers say "Geraldo Rivera is one of us and believes in us", just once I wish people like Geraldo would think fourth dimensionally and think about the consequences of something to say. At this point Geraldo joins Rosie "It's the first time fire melted steel" O'Donnell in the kook file, oh and on the fire melting steel department, she should go watch or meet a blacksmith they do it everyday, just as a small example of warping steel.
Solomon the Wise
P.S. I now believe I have proof there is definitely a God, because at approximately 11:30pm 11/13/2010 I decide to watch something on DVD so I do a quick think of what I could watch, for some reason I decide to check out my Best of Modern Marvels set starting with the Engineering Disasters. And when I get to Disk 3 I look at the episode list and Engineering Disasters 13 catches my eye; Modern Marvels attempts to answer questions about why Patriot missiles failed to work, how 7 World Trade Center Building crumbled without being hit on September 11, the toxic waste-filled love Canal, and the Coconut Grove nightclub fire. How ironic that only an hour & half later I would find this on a whim.

Obama of Borg
As a Star Trek & conservative I thought this was amusing and wanted to share it, as the president has made use of the term "Collective" a little too much for my taste or comfort.
AND now for what I want to call Americas Response, just imagine the Obama O symbol as the round disk, that's how I feel and I think most Americans feel that way, Assimilate THIS! November is very close Obama of Borg and the Democrat drones your time is at an end, or at least the beginning of the end.

September 11th 2001, Our Generation's Day of Infamy
September 11th 2001 a date that should never be forgotten, a day when we all started the day as normal by noon we knew we were at war with a group of people who we knew nothing about the day before, though we should have. Men and women died just because they were American (or worked in America) and went to work as usual. On this anniversary of a day of National Mourning for those who died for no good reason let us remember that evil never rests it is always watching, always trying to attack us, to attack good, like the never ending fight against pests in our homes we can never quit, we must be ever vigilant, ready to take action when evil rears its head. For evil is always watching waiting for you to give up, for you to stop watching, to turn off the lights.

A Rant Related to Independence Day, The Film.
For the last few years I have noticed an increasingly attack towards the film Independence Day, specifically the way the aliens are beaten with a computer virus. The most recent comment that set me off is this one where some critic labeled the aliens as lame, by the way to take a page from Glenn's "book" imagine the commenter wearing a tweed jacket and with a pipe in their mouth, "Large-scale alien invasions are often thwarted by the smallest things. In "War of the Worlds," it was germs. In "Signs," it was water. But lamest of all were the invaders in "ID4," who were beaten by spyware. Don't aliens know not to open email attachments from an unfamiliar senders? If you're going to take over a planet, make sure your Norton Anti-Virus is up to date." Please note that my response is written in what is called "in universe," where I will be treating the events as real for the sake of argument.

Malcolm X's Words.
I wanted to post this, in response to something I just saw on Geraldo, it's from a 1965 conversation with Gordon Parks with Malcolm X, just two days before he was assassinated, he said this:
"Listening to leaders like Nasser, Ben Bella, and Nkrumah awakened me to the dangers of racism. I realized racism isn't just a black and white problem. It's brought bloodbaths to about every nation on earth at one time or another."
"Brother, remember the time that white college girl came into the restaurant — the one who wanted to help the Black Muslims and the whites get together — and I told her there wasn't a ghost of a chance and she went away crying? Well, I've lived to regret that incident. In many parts of the African continent I saw white students helping black people. Something like this kills a lot of argument. I did many things as a Black Muslim that I'm sorry for now. I was a zombie then — like all Black Muslims — I was hypnotized, pointed in a certain direction and told to march. Well, I guess a man's entitled to make a fool of himself if he's ready to pay the cost. It cost me 12 years.
"That was a bad scene, brother. The sickness and madness of those days — I'm glad to be free of them."

The Post Office, A Fine Example of Government Run Business.
The Post Office, A Fine Example of Government Run Business.
So Tuesday July 6th the Federal Postal Service has announced it's asking for 2-cent rate increase to fight is financial crisis, as of 2009 the Federal Postal Service was three+ billion dollars in the red for that year and is still losing money. So their idea is to increase prices in a down economy, that is just about as brilliant as when customers were complaining about the long lines and wait times the Federal Postal Service removed all their clocks from the pick up areas, if the continue to complain will the next take their customers time pieces and any thing that could tell time? That would be really brilliant.

The Democrat Graveyard Vote.
With the new charges that the Obama Administration doesn't want to clean out the Voter rolls I made this quick image, by the way the graveyard used is an actual graveyard near Chicago, Illinois. Fitting I think.
Solomon.
P.S. I actually thought about using an image from the "Night of the Living Dead" of the zombies, With the tag line "The democrat graveyard voters heading to the polling place, after having a meal of tofu brains, after all they are vegan PETA zombies." with one quoting "People are animals like rats, so we can't eat people brains."

The Fourth of July Weekend.
I hope everyone enjoyed the Fourth of July Weekend, I spent most of mine doing yard work, cut the grass with a 25+ year old, gas guzzling, push mower to do my part for Global Warming ;)
As to more important things, I thought I would mention the Jay Walking that people have been talking about, I have to say that's not news for someone how was in High-school when Bill Clinton was president and re-elected most of my peers thought he was cool, although my best friend liked Ross Perot. Also I have always liked Jay Leno and I don't know if any of you might remember it, but in one of his old Jay Walking's when he was in D.C. He was in front of the Lincoln Memorial and asked some one who was a teacher who that Memorial was for her response "You tell me." A wonderful example of why our government education is so bad.
I also want to post something on the revelations on the dropping of the charges on the New Black Panthers, it's just a political cartoon but it sums up the results.
Also I will post something about the postal rate increase in a few hours. I will also have something later on who I finally realize who Bill O'Reilly is reminding me of lately, hint it's a cartoon character.

America and Our Rights: Guns Part II.
I originally wrote this back on May 5th, but the recent Supreme Court ruling on the Second Amendment I decided to post it here with some additions.
Mayor Michael Bloomberg of NYC has made comments recently (May 4-5th 2010) complaining about guns coming from other states to NYC, saying “ Let me close by saying: this is not about the Second Amendment. Our Founding Fathers did not write the Second Amendment to empower people who wanted to terrorize a free state; they wrote it to protect people who could defend ‘the security of a free state.’ Today, the security of our free state is being tested by terrorists." “I urge you to take common sense steps to strengthen law enforcement – including closing the terror gap – and to protect the American people from more attacks.”

Glenn Beck Missed a Huge Opportunity Yesterday.
Yesterday Glenn missed an opportunity to point out one of the first nations to be brought down by progressive policies, Rome. First watch this clip from Tuesday June 29th's show then I will explain below, the point you want to see starts at 7:30;
Now while Glenn's "chart" isn't 1oo% accurate the bump he points to isn't ancient Babylon, Egypt, Persia, or Greece. It is ancient Rome the world's first real superpower.

Yes, Bill O'Reilly There is a Slippery Slope, and I Can Prove It.
With Bill O'Reilly saying that he is “fine with” president Obama acting like a thug in chief to BP instead of someone who has been sworn to follow, obey, and enforce the law I thought I would do my own version of a familiar Christmas article, this one pointed to Bill O'Reilly and all those who are fine with the President of the United States acting like a dictator or thug towards a company who, yes, has made a mess, but it is not a reason to throw away something that isn’t broken.

Bill O'Reilly is NO History Teacher.
For several years now I have had a problem with Bill O'Reilly and his lack of comprehending history and the essence of “If you forget history you are doomed to repeat it.” The first thing I wrote was because of O'Reilly limited scope on history, as a person who has always been captivated with history and historical facts and as an aspiring writer history has proven itself to be full of surprises. And O'Reilly has proven my belief that those with a little knowledge can be
dangerous when they use it in the wrong way. My first article is proof.
My first article was a response to Bill O'Reilly’s Vlad the Assailer from August 14, 2008, O'Reilly comparing the historical Vlad Tepes the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s Dracula with Vladimir Putin of today’s Russia, O'Reilly making his usual jump of conclusion used limited knowledge of Vlad Tepes to say and I quote

The Unemployed Told They Need Not Apply.
As with my usual routine I like to check the news before I start doing things, and this is what I find, The Unemployed told they Need Not Apply. Many businesses are apparently doing this, posting boldly things like "unemployed candidates will not be considered" or "must be currently employed," now while I don’t want the government in privet businesses affairs I want to say something to them.

Cumulative Voting, A Bad Idea Made Real in Port Chester, NY.
While scanning through news stories online I came across this one about the residents getting 6 votes each in a suburban NY election, this is an alert to all conservatives, this story is a disturbing jump to Progressive ideas made real far more then any of us would like. This was by the order and on the instructions of a federal judge and the U.S. Department of Justice as part of a new election system crafted to help boost Hispanic representation. This is the progressives most disturbing move yet.

The Bay of Rigs.
I knew Obama's Oval Office Speech was going to be a progressive propaganda piece, but I didn't think he would be stupid enough to say that they were drilling in mile deep water because we are running out of easy oil. Boy was I wrong! After weeks of pundits talking about the reason why they were drilling out that deep was because the Feds were forbidding them to drill where the easily accessible oil is, it's now obvious for someone as clever as he is he thinks that he can pull the wool over the Americans eyes he is a fool.

What is Wrong With my Generation.
What is Wrong With my Generation.
As I have said elsewhere when I was in High School my fellow peers thought Bill Clinton was cool I thought otherwise, and this was before the "blue dress". The problem is my generation, those between the ages of twenty-five and thirty-five in my opinion have a warped sense of self, they are self important, is all about them, they know it all, and they idealize people like Che, Bill Clinton, and Barack Obama.

Car Seats Have Expiration Dates!?
While reading some messages on a group I belong to I read this,
"I am contacting the member directly as well, but I am emailing to request the listing be removed. Those car seats were manufactured in May of 2003, making them 7 years old. Car seats expire and are supposed to be disposed of at 6 years old. I would hate for someone who doesn't know this to buy these seats and use them, when they are no longer safe to use." In response to someone wanting to sale a child's car seat. Now I know nothing about children's car seats, but this idea of something other then a food item or chemical product having a defined expiration date bothers me.
Let me give you a hypothetical example, if the Obama Administration decided that all TVs sold as of July 1st will have a three year expiration date and after that date those TVs must be taken off the market and can't be resold after their expiration date in the used goods markets, in an attempt to "help" the economy. Now if the Obama Administration was to try this you could be sure the American public would be outraged. The idea of an expiration date on a non-food item or chemical product annoys me, now I know that a parent certainly doesn't want to risk their child's life in a used car seat but the question is how do you know that an item is no longer any good? The fact is that many items still work well years after they where purchased, and just as many items wear out long before they should. If a manufacture of a product wants to give a product a life expectancy I don't have a problem with that, but as progressives have shown they think that our Constitution has out lived its "life expectancy" and needs to be replaced, quite frankly it should be up to the consumer to decide whether they want to trust an item past its "life expectancy."
Remember, Caveat Emptor, let the buyer beware!

"I am contacting the member directly as well, but I am emailing to request the listing be removed. Those car seats were manufactured in May of 2003, making them 7 years old. Car seats expire and are supposed to be disposed of at 6 years old. I would hate for someone who doesn't know this to buy these seats and use them, when they are no longer safe to use." Mosab Hassan Yousef, A Story of Hope for Peace in the Middle East.
In my post yesterday, Israel, The "Freedom Flotilla," and Their War Against Extermination, I mentioned Mosab Hassan Yousef, the son of a Hamas founder and leader, who turned from Islam to Christianity and is outspoken against the Arab Leadership in the Middle East. I wanted to post some of his statements here for others to read.
This needs to be put back out into circulation because of the anger against Israel at their action against the "Freedom Flotilla," with people like Helen Thomas making their stupid statements they need to be countered by the statements of someone who has turned away from the terrorists and Hamas and tells the truth of the hate against Israel and the Jews, and in an extension us.

Some Observations of the Last Week
For the last week I had been under the weather starting Memorial Day weekend up to this Sunday. While I didn’t feel like working on anything I did watch the news and what comes on the forefront that was ridiculous was the reaction to Israel defending itself. I got to listen to progressives complain about how the “evil” Jews were repressing the “poor Palestinians,” and then we got the comments from Helen Thomas on where “those” Jews should go,

About the Last Week.
This past week I have been under the weather starting Memorial Day weekend up to this weekend, and some of my family hasn't been helpful to my condition or mood, but I am hoping to get back to doing things later tonight or tomorrow.

It Says You're a Winner, but its Just a Misprint.
A Florida lotto winner has been denied the jackpot of a scratch-off ticket, because the state claims that the scratch-off ticket is a misprint. When a business commits what is called false advertising the government threatens that business even if it is a honest mistake, but when they do it is "It says you're a winner, but its just a misprint so we won't pay you the $500,000 jackpot."
Judge Joe Brown on Stolen Phone.
A few weeks ago a wrote my last Follow Up to Thoughts on the Next-Generation iPhone Situation, at the time this episode of Judge Joe Brown was in the back of my head and since on a whim I decided to look for episodes of Judge Joe Brown and this was on the top of the list so I am posting this here for my readers. Judge Joe Brown is the only court show, like this anyway, that I watch any more, most of the others either feel to liberal to me or have progressive rulings. This episode is classic Judge Joe and I am sure you will enjoy.

Anthony Weiner vs Glenn Beck, and the Progressive Agenda.
Starting last week Anthony Weiner launched an attack on Glenn Beck as part of the larger attack on Glenn. Weiner's attack focused on what Glenn discuses on his radio show and the company Goldline, Inc which is a sponsor of his radio show.

Capitalism is Matter and Socialism is Antimatter
Most have heard the phrase "Men are from Mars, and Women are from Venus." well I think I have a new one, "Capitalism is Matter and Socialism is Antimatter, and the two can be not mixed." This was inspired by a recent news item on why we exist, I will have something on that else where, but this is about how Capitalism is Matter and Socialism is Antimatter, and why the two can be not mixed.

It seems that the left and progressives want to say and diminish the importance of the Founding Fathers. With the rise of the Tea Parties and the resurgence of the founding history of America the left and progressives have redoubled their offensive against this history and facts.

Teacher Sues for Right to Flunk Her Students.
A Teacher Sues an East Baton Rouge, La, school for the right to flunk her students. With the left complaining about US students scores it seems they will do anything to get them up, even prevent teachers from flunking their students. With the dismal state our Government Schools are in this only makes it worse now parents have to ask are their children really passing or is the Government School just giving them a pass. With the Progressives more interested in teaching our children socialism and the wonders of men like Karl Marx, Joseph Stalin, Vladimir Lenin, Mao Zedong, Hugo Chávez, Fidel Castro and his brother, and Che Guevara it is amazing we still can do things like put men in to space, though that won't last much longer now.
As has been done in other countries they realize that they will best gain their power if they teach the next generation to love them, that the need the government to protect them, then they will have their power and a people who will not stand up to them. The Progressives despise at the idea of high standards is yet another reason for our nations problems.

Glenn Beck with Legal Immigrants.
Glenn Beck tonight had a group of Legal Immigrants who came to America through the legal way, and as I expected they said what Arizona is doing is right and have a problem with the Pro-Illegal Immigrant left. As well as the Illegal Immigrants demanding special treatment.
America is not a racist or anti-immigrant country, what Americans want is for Immigrants to come here legally.
We are a Republic built on the rule of law, enforce the laws that are on the books that is what Americans want.

America and Our Rights.
A few months ago I watched an interview Bill O'Reilly did with Steward Rhodes, founder of the Oathkeepers, see the 1st video below, and became annoyed with O'Reilly as seems to be a pattern in the last year. O'Reilly doesn't seem to realize just how dangerous his attitude, the people they were disarming were the LAW-ABIDING citizens NOT the thugs running around acting like warlords in a third world country. I just don't get O'Reilly when Katrina first happened he claimed to have a revelation how gun liberal control and regulations don't work, but now its alright, those thugs were/are predators we all know or have repeated the joke to a gun control person "Put up a big Gun Free zone sign for all to see at your home, and see what happens." See the video below from the 1/2 Hour News Hour on how liberals think it works.
So why am I doing this now after Glenn Beck showed the video clip of the old woman in New Orleans was roughed up to take her gun, I decided to find that clip, but I found something even better or worse depending on one's point of view, on more of the people the authorities took legal guns from not caring about their rights. See the NRA: The Untold Story of Gun Confiscation After Katrina video below. It brings to mind a common defense during the Nuremberg Trials "I was only fallowing orders" that 'defense' has been declared illegitimate as a defense to crimes committed by civilian and military personnel when ordered to by their leaders.
So if Obama was to use the current incident to order the confiscation of guns from the public, which would clearly be unconstitutional, when the Supreme Court declared it so all individuals who participated in that action would be vulnerable to civil and criminal penalties.
Also Bill O'Reilly a few weeks ago on Lt. Col. Terrence Lakin and another soldier with a facebook page supporting the Tea Party basically said that soldiers should just follow your orders and don't question them.
So again I am left asking Bill O'Reilly a question he will never answer, All the Oathkeepers are saying is they will not follow unconstitutional orders, so why do you want them to follow unconstitutional orders if they are given them. Unfortunately Bill O'Reilly won't answer my question.

Times Square Car Bomb NOT Terrorism.
Warning in the full page I am including a piture of Holocaust Victims in the full page of this.
This morning I had to listen to Secretary Napolitano try to evade admitting the Times Square SUV Bomb was terrorism, vindicating my post The Times Square Bomb Plot yesterday. And while I was listening to this I remembered what this administration wanted to call terrorist attacks, Man Caused Disasters, you know lets apply that label to a few well known events like, the Holocaust is now a Man Caused Disaster, the Massacre at Jonestown by Jim Jones now a Man Caused Disaster, the Stalinist Gulags and death camps are Man Caused Disasters, Pol Pot's crimes are Man Caused Disasters, Che Guevara and Castro's actions in Cuba are Man Caused Disasters, and finally the Man the Obama administration loves Mao Zedong who's actions caused the deaths of over Sixty Million Chinese was JUST a Man Caused Disaster.
You know when you think about it Man Caused Disaster just seems to sanitize what these actions really were, Evil, Inhuman, Cruel, Terroristic, Crimes Against Humanity that should always be remembered for what they are, EVIL!
Watch it below,
Of course now the regime realizes the people are having a problem with their avoidance of the word Terrorism, and are now using it.
Like I said before I don't care if its Neo Nazis, Black Panthers, the Weather Underground, Al Qaeda, Aliens from Alpha Centauri, or some nut with too much time on his hands, its Terrorism, its a tactic intended to cause terror so you should have no problem using it.
Also I want to post this video of one of the street vendors form Times Square;

P.S. I want to post the Green Lanterns oath from the comic books, something about it always seems to be inspirational when I read it,

The BP Oil Derrick Violations.
I have heard a few people and groups talking about violations of the BP Oil Derrick that exploded and sank on April 20th, well I looked somethings up and found out that the Derrick was inspected in February, March and on April 1 that turned up no violations at the Deepwater Horizon. You can find the original AP report here.
While trying to find a list of the Violations I found these, the list and information comes from Ordons News;
MMS Records Show BP Has Previous Deepwater Violations;
Also the rig had a couple of safety awards;
"Ironically, MMS recognized BP in 2009 and 2010 as a finalist for "outstanding safety and pollution prevention" in an industry "SAFE" award ceremony scheduled next month. MMS figures show OCS drilling operators paid about $919,000 in fines for safety violations in 2009, down from $2.2 million in 2008 and $3.1 million in 2007, when record oil prices led to higher demand for rigs and drilling workers. According to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, many of those employees received inadequate training before working offshore on a oil drilling platform."
As you can see the serious violations are somewhat easily found but the others aren't, I have heard there are almost 400 violations, but I can't find a full list and I suspect that if I found the full list most of those violations might be silly ones such as a loose toilet site that hardly seem as serious as the others.
Solomon
While trying to find a list of the Violations I found these, the list and information comes from Ordons News;
MMS Records Show BP Has Previous Deepwater Violations;
"MMS slapped BP with $41,000 in fines in October 2007 after a series of violations related to a near-blowout five years earlier. In November 2002, the Ocean King rig, operated by Diamond Offshore Drilling, in the Gulf had to evacuate all 65 of its workers for nearly two days after operators detected a dangerous rise in gas pressure. The rig, which had been drilling at a depth of more than 5,000 feet, didn't resume work for nearly a week, according to the MMS report."
"Unlike last week's disaster, workers were able to keep the well from leaking by using cement and mud to plug the well. The same subcontractor, Diamond Offshore, was also used when BP was fined $25,000 in 2004 for bypassing a gas detection system while drilling. A BP spokesman in London says the company still uses Diamond Offshore as a contractor."
"In the 2002 incident, the MMS said that BP and Diamond Offshore were unaware that some of the key safety procedures they used to initially stop the dangerous rise in pressure could have contributed to a blowout. The MMS cited BP for what it called "no formal procedures" and "no written guidelines" to follow in case of an emergency. MMS also cited BP and contract workers in the incident for what they said was a "lack of knowledge of the system, and lack of pre-event planning and procedures."
"In separate incidents, BP was also fined $75,000 in 2003 for not having adequate water pressure on one rig's fire protection system as well as another $80,000 fine for bypassing safety alarms that could have indicated dangerously high pressure, similar to what caused the near-blowout in 2002, according to MMS data."
"Fines for serious incidents, like blowouts, can often total millions of dollars. In 2008, Pogo Producing Company was fined more than a half million dollars for a November 2006 blowout. In that incident, oil was blown out of the flare boom and covered the rig in crude, leaving an oil slick 16 miles long and close to a mile wide."
Also the rig had a couple of safety awards;

Now We Have A Bomb at the Pittsburgh Marathon. Updated.
Update 5/2/2010 2:05 PM, Now this is supposedly just a bomb scare, more to come when available.
Now we have a bomb at the Pittsburgh Marathon, I said it before and say it again this does not feel right, I have this vibe that is telling me this is no coincidence, the Suicidal College Student Causes NYC Subway Terror Scare, Police Say, Investigators Pursuing 'All the Leads' in Times Square Bomb Plot, and now this Pittsburgh Marathon Course Altered by Bomb Scare just doesn't feel like coincidences. We will hopefully know more soon.

P.S. I hope I might be wrong on this feeling, but something just doesn't feel right about all this.

The Times Square Bomb Plot
I want to start off with Secretary of Homeland Security Napolitano's words this morning, "It could be an act of terrorism," it could be!? You don't put a crude car bomb of propane, gasoline and fireworks in the heart of Times Square on a busy Saturday evening for the heck of it, you do it to maim, kill, and scare the populace.
And I don't care if its Neo Nazis, Black Panthers, the Weather Underground, Al Qaeda, or some nut with too much time on his hands, its Terrorism.
Their intent was clear when they drove that SUV filled with explosive material in the heart of NYC in Times Square, they wanted to injure, kill, and spread fear to the people of New Your City and America.
Its only by the grace of God that the bomb malfunction, because if it hadn't right now we would be looking at a scene out of the Middle East in NYC.
We need to thank God and all those who stopped that bomb from going off.
Solomon.

First Cyanide and Now a Car Bomb in Times Square, NYC.
A few days ago I read this story on foxnews.com, Suicidal College Student Causes NYC Subway Terror Scare, Police Say, and now as I write this post it is confirmed that an Incendiary Device has been found in a car in Times Square in NYC Car Bomb, New York City Police Close Times Square for Possible Car Bomb, updated link to FoxNews.com, New York City Police Close Times Square for Apparent Car Bomb, this whole thing stinks first some Suicidal College Student manages to get in the NYC Subways with a quart container full of sodium cyanide pellets, five highway flares and two bottles of water, if he wanted to kill himself you don't need that much to do the job, and there are two cases of possible terrorism by cyanide, in 1995 a device was discovered in a restroom in the Kayabacho Tokyo subway station consisting of bags of sodium cyanide and sulfuric acid with a remote controlled motor to rupture them in what was believed to be an attempt to produce toxic amounts of hydrogen cyanide gas by the Aum Shinrikyo cult, see more on that here, and the in 2003, Al Qaeda reportedly planned to release cyanide gas into the New York City Subway system, the attack was reportedly aborted because there would not be enough casualties, read more here.
And now we have a car bomb in Times Square, NYC, which I will do more on when we have more information. Its possible that these cases are unconnected, but I just don't like the vibe I am getting from all of this. To me it doesn't feel like this is all a coincidence, first someone dressed in a hard hat, safety vest and boots deep inside the tunnel under the East River with a quart container full of sodium cyanide pellets, five highway flares and two bottles of water Friday morning, 4/30/2010, and tonight, on a Saturday night in Times Square, someone decides to place a car bomb there, something just doesn't feel right to me.
Solomon.
P.S. I know technically its one case of 'actual' possible terrorism by cyanide, but Al Qaeda counts in a way since they would love to destroy our way of life. And a terrorist attack during the morning rush in the subway would do a hell of a lot of damage, just as a car bomb going of in Times Square would.

Defending Capitalism: Flea Markets
Defending Capitalism: Flea Markets
We all know them, Flea Markets, whether its clean, dusty, outdoors, indoors, or a combination of those. Well yesterday while doing some work someone I know, who is a retired union worker this will be important a little latter, said that only Flea Brains go to Flea Markets, of course this wasn't just some jest he was serious. My response "Why? Flea Markets are the perfect example of why capitalism works, you take your goods there if someone wants them they well buy them or negotiate over the price until both sides are happy." he really didn't have much to say after that. But I wanted to continue the defense of Flea Markets here.
Flea Markets our bazaars are the perfect example of why capitalism, you take your goods there if someone wants them they well buy them or negotiate over the price until both sides are happy. Now there is more to most flea markets then that and there is the more dubious side such as the bootleg & knockoff items but most reputable establishments prohibit that as well as checks out the vendors from time to time just to check that no one is selling those items. As some one who has sold at Flea Markets before, I also had my own permanent space for several years here, I can tell you personally that there is more then people selling inexpensive or secondhand goods you can find new and used items of all prices and all kinds, from fruits and vegetables to movies, video games, collectibles, and antiques, a perfect example of what happens when government isn't involved in capitalism, no price controls and no mandates to the sellers.
You are free both buyer & seller to negotiate over the price of things, now there are likely to be someone who will point out that when you buy certain items at a flea market you are taking a risk that it might not work, electronics for example, let me give you some simple advice, Caveat Emptor, let the buyer beware! Its very simple first if the person is unwilling, or unable, to show you that the good works right there then you don't buy it! We have all made that mistake once, most vendors at a flea market, especially those in a more permanent stall, are quite willing to show you that something works or guaranties that if it does not they will exchange it for another item in their store, because it means a possible sale. Even those in the what are typically known as Daily Rental spots are there consistently.
Flea Markets are just another unappreciated area of American Capitalism.
By Solomon.
P.S. I was going to cover the union point in the main body of this post but decided against it, so I am putting it here, the retired union worker, who I will call Union from now on, is ardently Union nothing the Unions do is bad, the only reason Americans don't like unions is due to propaganda by businesses, those are his words by the way. Despite the fact that most businesses in America are small businesses with fewer then a hundred employees, its propaganda by those businesses and people like Joe the Plumber that has people disliking the unions, Yeah Right! People are tired of the same Union tactics and arguments they see every day.
Now as to another point on unions I want to make quickly, I personally have never liked unions and its not what you might be thinking, not because I am a conservative, southerner, or otherwise, Its because of who the original founders of the Unions were, Anarchists, as in no government at all, and Marxists, not a foundation I would like to build something on.

Thoughts on the Next-Generation iPhone Situation.
For the last week or so we have all heard about the Next-Generation iPhone that was found in a bar that was left there by a too drunk Apple engineer, who is described as young by the way, then "sold" to Gizmodo, which they "reviewed or examined," then Apple demanded the Next-Generation iPhone back, and then the authority's got involved raiding the Gizmodo editor's home issuing the debate over whether he is covered by the shield law for journalists and the issue of journalistic ethics and police raids. And now the man who found it regrets his mistake.
First I want to go over some Common Sense things first, the man who eventually found this Next-Generation iPhone in his position, how ever he got it, at the bar is looking at least the charge of selling stolen property or a similar charge, next the editor whether he is considered a journalist or not can not receive or buy stolen property for a story, unless they obtain it to turn in to the proper authority's or owner and then they can with out threat do a news story on it in my opinion, and as to Gizmodo and criminal charges I don't think they face any credible charges.
Now as to whether the police should have done their raid differently, I think so, there is no evidence that the Gizmodo editor was buying tons of stolen property, not even a rumor, so they could have just used a subpoena to get him to produce what they wanted, and then a warrant if he didn't comply.
Personally to me this whole thing is turning into some kind of comedy skit one might see on TV, the way the story is developing.

Happy Meal Toys Banned in California County
Why is it that the Government and the Food Nazis have to keep trying to dictate how we live our lives despite the fact that the very people they claim they are protecting are strongly against this kind of dictation of their lives? Personally there is only one reason they are doing this, you have heard the phrase "Getting Your Foot in the Door," well this is what they are doing despite the fact that their new law only effects a few restaurants in unincorporated areas of Santa Clara County, if it stands its a start to getting into your home once they have their foot in the door.
Its the same thing with most progressive laws and regulations they only need their foot in the door, then they can get into your home to tell you how to live your life, and possibly what to think.

Also I have this clip of a Food Nazi for your enjoyment.

P.S. Neil Cavuto has it right the Food Nazis are becoming the new Burgermeisters.

Critics Want to Ground Eddie the Eagle
I saw this a few days ago in the morning, 4/27/2010, and wanted to post it and some quick thoughts on this issue.
While as a conservative I want to gut the Federal Education department and system, and burn down what is left after that, but this is one thing which I do not have a problem with. First it's the NRA mascot telling/informing children not to mess with a gun if the see/find one and to tell an adult, not some government bureaucrat telling our children we don't need guns any more in our society, although that is already happening with some progressive/liberal teachers. Second with so many parents with guns not properly teaching/telling their children not to play around with a 'real' gun, it makes sense to me, I should add some of those parents probably have a gun for illegitimate purposes. And as to the point of the children not retaining the information, while she may not be one of them, the liberals and progressives tell us we should teach sex education as soon as possible see my post, One Degree of Separation, on These Stories for proof, yet when it comes to our issues they say the children won't retain the information and we shouldn't do it. No what they want to do it take our money to indoctrinate our children that all guns are bad, except for the ones in the hands of the government and we don't really have a Right to Bear Arms despite the Second Amendment.
It's bad enough that we have all the socialist indoctrination going on in our school systems, we need to get some balance back in, what ever form it may be.

The Case against the Feds regulating the the Problems they created.
This is a continuation of my post, Bill O'Reilly Believes the Feds can Fix the Problems it Created.
In a conversation I had the other day on on small claims court and when someone sues a contractor when they mess up a job or don't do it right, it hit me that its the perfect argument against the Feds regulating the the Problems they created.
First let me lay out a simple hypothetical, you hire Federal Roofers to fix your roof because it has leaks, they come out give you price to do the job, you like it so you hire them. They show up and replace you old roof, then a week later during a rainstorm you start having leaks again. Now at this point you can go back to them to have them do the job again with no charge, or you can go to some one else who you have more faith in to get the job done right, and sue Federal Roofers for what you paid to get the job done right by another party. Now depending on your area and state, some places may require you to give them a second chance to fix the problem, but from personal experience when a particular group you hire to do a job doesn't get it right the first time, and I mean not getting it right in a fairly big way, tend not to get it right with the second chance.
Now the federal government created this whole mess in the first place by requiring the banks to make loans to people who couldn't possibly pay them, also what people like Bill O'Rilly don't pay attention to is the government threatened to take from the banks who complained that this was bad their federal credentials in other words these banks wouldn't be able to operate in the US and its territories, and so the banks wouldn't make any noise they backed these loans with Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, with our tax dollars. Also it was the former head of Freddie Mac or Fannie Mae who came up with the idea of selling these bundled mortgages as investments.
So I ask again to Bill O'Rilly tell me that this whole mess isn't the fault of the Federal Government? And why should we give more power to the same people who made this mess in the first place, and then blame the private businesses when their pyramid scheme collapsed.
Solomon.

Climate Scientist, Heated Up Over Satirical Video, Threatens Lawsuit
Penn State climate scientist Michael Mann is upset over the satirical video "Hide the Decline" (see below) and is now threatening a lawsuit over it.
No Cap and Trade, a large organization that includes the group Mann is threatening to sue, Minnesotans for Global Warming, has a new version of the video "Hide the Decline II." (see below)
I have one question for him, if he thought ClimateGate was a pain in his you know what, a lawsuit would give anyone he sued full discovery and to quote Jeff Davis, the President of No Cap and Trade "there's a lot to look at in his work."
Look at Al Gore, not that I want to give him any praise, he's a little smarter even though he's been satirized on many shows, my personal favorite is the South Park episode "ManBearPig," he hasn't sued or threatened to sue any one or group because he knows, not that the debate is over, but that such a case would only hurt their cause when the light is shined on their so called evidence as recent events have shown.

Bill O'Reilly Believes the Feds can Fix the Problems it Created.
Here we go again, O'Reilly Believes the Feds who made the housing mess in the first place can now fix it! Does the phrase "one's born every minute" sound familiar, O'Reilly wants more government regulation of the markets to fix what the government created by way of its earlier regulations, does that even sound logical!? For example when people were complaining of long lines at the post office, what was the post office's answer? Why to remove all of the clocks! What next, if people keep complaining of long lines will the confiscate anything capable of keeping time until you leave the post office facilities!? John Stossel tried to get O'Reilly to see the error of that view but like with Oil O'Reilly lets his anger cloud his critical thinking on this, see my past articles for more on O'Reilly's clouded critical thinking The Oil Company Profits and the Truth Bill O’Reilly Ignores. & Ethanol - The Gas Substitute that Can’t. And Other Options.
One of the key things O'Reilly is ignoring on this is government used it's police powers on the banks to force them to make loans to people who couldn't pay them back, basically putting a gun to the head of the banks. Any bank that made a noise about making these loans was told they would lose their Federal backing, in other words they would not be able to operate in the territories of the United States, and to keep those banks quiet the Federal Government backed the loans with Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, with our tax dollars. So O'Reilly tell me that this whole mess isn't the fault of the Federal Government.

What was he thinking, or was he even thinking.
One of the voices of the Geico commercials has found himself on the unemployment line, thanks to his anti-Tea Party voicemail he left on Freedomworks. By the way he isn't the one who does the Geico Gecko's voice.
Listen to it below.
Why is it that so many on the left think it's alright to demean those on the conservative spectrum and not expect if and when it gets out people won't be happy with you and might not buy your product. What was he thinking, or was he even thinking? Geico made the choice they thought was right, you can't have a national brand that isn't political have one of its employees possibly demeaning half of your consumer base. Now he's threatening to sue Freedomworks because Geico canned him, you make comments like that and think they won't get out, someone needs to do more critical thinking. Unfortunately we can expect more of this for the foreseeable future.

The "Human Rights" Con
With more and more so called "Human Rights" being created, most recently the "Right to Travel," Brussels Declares Vacation Time a Human Right, I wanted to share some stories & links about what this Con of Human Rights creates and is really about. The first is a story from Sweden, it entails the Swedish Government taking in to custody a seven year old boy over homeshcooling, (quick info, the Swedish police barged into a passenger jet awaiting departure from Sweden to India and forcibly took into custody the boy.) Read the full story at WND.com at this link, Parents plead for return of 7-year-old son Dad, mom being allowed 1 hour visit every 5 weeks. The next story is of German family seeking asylum here in the US, because they feared persecution if returned to their home country because of their decision to home school, by the way they have been granted asylum by a US federal immigration Judge, which will not make the progressives here or in Europe happy. Read the full story at WND.com at this link, Homeschoolers on run win U.S. asylum.
With the Obama Administration wanting to make Health Care a human right, these stories should be a wake up call to those who have been coned by this scam of these new human rights.

The Speech From the Street Fighter Movie.
I have been busy for the past week and haven't had the time to do any constructive posts, but I have something for you today. It is the speech made by Jean-Claude Van Damme as Colonel William F. Guile when the politician/bureaucrat tells him they are going to give in to the demands of the bad guy. If any one remembers the Street Fighter movie staring Jean-Claude Van Damme from 1994 most considered it a bad movie, I always thought it wasn't great but it isn't bad. Now for the Transcript of the Speech, I will explain why a Transcript afterwords.
I was reminded of this speech when I just watched again on tape the other day. It just seems to hit home to the point of the way the Progressives want to solve problems, especially in the recent light of Obama's Limiting Potential Uses of Nuclear Weapons, if you throw enough money at something or someone you will solve the problem.
A.N. Official: [getting saluted] As you were, Colonel.
Colonel William F. Guile: What a surprise. Welcome to the Shadaloo front. You're just in time for the kickoff.
A.N. Official: I'm afraid not, Colonel. The Security Council has just voted. They've decided to negotiate.
Colonel William F. Guile: You're joking!
A.N. Official: We think we can deal with General Bison. You're instructed to call off the assault. Contact him. Request an extension of his deadline. We are prepared to pay the ransom demand.
Colonel William F. Guile: Twenty billion dollars? What will prevent him from taking more hostages next month and asking for fifty billion?
[gives him a slight shove]
Colonel William F. Guile: One hundred billion?
A.N. Official: Colonel, have you lost your mind?
Colonel William F. Guile: No! You've lost your balls!
A.N. Official: Colonel Guile, deliver these instructions to your troops, then consider yourself relieved of your command!
Colonel William F. Guile: [solemnly] Troopers, I just received new orders. Our superiors say the war is cancelled. We can all go home. Bison is getting paid off for his crimes, and our friends who have died here will have died for nothing. But, we can all go home. Meanwhile, ideals like peace, freedom, and justice, they get packed up. But, we can all go home.
[angrily]
Colonel William F. Guile: Well, I'm not going home. I'm gonna get on my boat, and I'm going up river, and I'm going to kick that son of a bitch Bison's ass so hard that the next Bison wannabe is gonna feel it! Now, who wants to go home... and who wants to go with me?
[the troopers cheer]
A.N. Official: Colonel Guile! Colonel Guile, these instructions...!
[accidentally drops them into the water]
A.N. Official: Stop them, please!
Colonel William F. Guile: Hey, I would love to! But some moron just canned me!
Now the reason why this is a Transcript is I couldn't find a clip of the speech, it would seem that NBC Universal, A.K.A. the Obama Network, doesn't want it on the web, as Video anyway. This speech is one of the Greatest in Cinematic History, in my opinion anyway.

Proof Christianity Wasn't A Mystery Religion.
I am tired of the claims that Christianity started out as a Mystery Religion, so from the Internet and YouTube I present an Episode of Ancient Discoveries, Machines of the Gods, in five parts. I hate to have to use something that will take up to an hour to watch, but it is in five parts and each part is about ten minutes long so you can watch it in segments and for the time being it will be exactly where you find it again.
Christianity has not used tricks to get people to believe. Faith is a powerful thing if you have faith in anything nothing will be impossible.
And I already know what some are going to say so I am going to destroy that now.
First Honest Christians do not stoop to such trickery, I have found that those who do tend toward cults and cultists. By the way, I don't want to hear any comments about Christianity being a cult. Second the "If Heron was working for secular reasons" argument is some of the biggest BS I have heard in my life, Heron was working at the Library of Alexandria, where do you think he got the name Heron of Alexandria! The Library of Alexandria during its day was the modern equivalent of the Smithsonian, combined with the top engineering schools, and think tanks of today. And just for kicks the Antikythera mechanism proves the secular reasons argument is BS, I have watched most of the Ancient Discoveries episodes and they also prove that argument BS. If you look back to my post They're making the same mistake again. Russia Unveils Stealth Fighter. The US military didn't dismiss Jet Technology for religious reasons, they and others thought it was impossible, all while Nazi Germany and Britain were developing Jets, so historically it would make since that there would be men who would not see the military or other applications of this technology, the myth of religious science retardation is constantly used to shut us up, I am sick and tired of this BS and its time to fight back, ALSO, the show proves to me that Humanity is more then just some evolved animal.
Part One.
Part Two.

You Got a light?!
If you haven't heard about it yet, Qatari diplomat Mohammed Al-Madadi (age 27) decided to make a really stupid joke when he was caught trying to smoke in the restroom of an airliner in flight, the joke was that he had been trying to light his shoes. Oh but it gets better, he was on his way to see a convicted 9/11 terrorist. We are told don't even say 'Hi Jack' in the airport even if you see someone named 'Jack,' what did they tell him when he was chosen to be a diplomat, did they even tell him what to do and not to do, not to attack his age but he is 27 you would think they (Qatar) would have had an older diplomat tutor him in what to say and not say. After all it could have turned out a lot worse for him, on the plane, if the passengers had panicked thinking it was a terrorist act.
Personally this guy needs a kick in the pants at the least for his 'joke,' but that's just me, or is it. I would like to hear from some others and I will post a poll on it.

The U.N.'s "Love Boat"
I was going to do more on this, but I have been too busy to go in depth with this News.
But to cover some obvious points, first we can see the obvious difference between private charity and government charity, the U.N. is leasing these ships at $112,500 a day, which it wasn't disclosing to the world. But, wait there's more, as they say on TV! Some of these funds are going to a company closely linked to the government of Venezuelan, and Hugo "The Thug" Chavez. Oh, and as to the post title one of the ships has been dubbed "The Love Boat" by the U.N. "workers." My self I am not surprised by this, after all the U.N. brought us the Oil for Food scandal, that was only discovered after the Iraq War. (Which reminds me there is something I have to post on that latter this weekend.) If the U.N. wanted improve the lives of the Haitians they would have used the ships to really help them such as treating some of them to a few days on the ships.
Check out the full story at Foxnews.com, With Haiti in Ruins, Some U.N. Relief Workers Live Large on 'Love Boat'.

Dr. Phil's Legal Troubles
First to answer this question and then I will comment, Two guests who admitted to committing crimes on the show end up in jail; do the convicts have a case against the TV host? Hell, NO!
Now for my commentary,
I actually watched this episode when it was first aired a few years ago, after all could you? With all the previews talking about them I just couldn't resist it, and I have to say it was like watching an accident happen in real life in slow motion. What isn't shown in this clip is the fact that they wanted Dr. Phil's help to go legit, they wanted to start a legitimate business by selling non-stolen goods by buying things direct from manufacturers to sell online. That was part of the "Help" they wanted, and I can guarantee you that even Dr. Phil wanted no part in that. And the worst part about this couple is they took their kids with them on their shoplifting excursions and might have used them in shoplifting. Not to condone criminal activity, they defiantly qualify for stupidest criminals, if they had any brains they would have sold off most of their "merchandise" and bought some kind of small business or a franchise of some kind, all stories of criminals "going legit" they take their illegitimate earnings and invest them into some kind of legitimate business, and again I do not condone criminal activity.
The funniest thing about this when it first aired was the fact that as soon as it was aired the police and other law enforcement agencies would be fast tracking some warrants to search their house and property.
I have to ask this Judge one question did you even watch this show, if you had you wouldn't have come down on Dr. Phil you would have praised him for exposing them. And as to the issue of warning them he did, also it wasn't a live show, in terms of being aired live, they could have asked to stop taping and go to a lawyer. And as to a lawyer, I don't think even Johnnie Cochran could get them off.

Cancer Drug May Keep Lockerbie Bomber Alive for Five More Years
When I first heard that the Lockerbie Bomber was going to be released, I knew it was a bad
idea, and at the time (and still today) was afraid that our government under the progressives
would do the same stupid move. After his release he was welcomed as a hero in Libya. Now
there are reports that a cancer drug may keep him alive for five more years. Some punishment, he gets to live a life of luxury as a hero in Libya. And in case someone brings up the fact he has
cancer and how it’s a horrible way to go, I know this already my father died from cancer, but it
was in the last year of it that he really went down hill.
I don't remember exactly where I first heard of this but you can probably find it in some more conservative news websites.
And for your enjoyment a political cartoon that symbolizes this whole bad thing.

The twelve-year old killer
While going through my saved political cartoons I found this one and thought it would be perfect for this story, Adult Trial for Boy in Death of Pa. Woman, Fetus.
I don't exactly remember what it was about a few years ago but ironically it might fit for some recent stories in the news.
And as to the issue of trying the boy as an adult, he took a gun and !warning possible disturbing imagery!, blow her head off with a shotgun! I have a hard time wanting to be soft on this boy blowing someone's head off with a shotgun isn't something a normal person would do even when in a violent situation defending themselves.
Solomon.
P.S. by the way blowing someones head off with a shotgun is usually reserved for use ageist zombies and use by the occasional crazy killer, which, the latter may apply to the boy in the story if he is disturbed.
