Welcome to Solomon's Conservative Wisdom

Welcome to my Conservative Blog, Solomon's Conservative Wisdom. The name comes from my middle name and the historical & biblical figure King Solomon, now I make no claim to have Solomon's Wisdom, but I do have Common Sense. I welcome anyone to join in and comment about anything I may have written, posted or one of my Articles / Columns. This blog is dedicated to conservatism and freedom. I invite all conservatives to join in, I don’t mind non-conservatives joining in (after all the only way to change liberals and fence-sitters is to debate them and change their minds, some are just too hard headed to admit they are wrong) . All I expect is a respectful debate.

I have recently split my postings to a few other blogs I own, Solomon's Conservative Wisdom, Solomon's Conservative Wisdom II, and Solomon's Conservative Wisdom at Townhall.com, to spread out some of my postings.
So check them out and tell me what you think.

Please comment on my Articles and Columns, as well as any other post that is not just a link to a story.

I want to know what others think and have a debate. And make sure to check out my Articles and Columns if you haven't already.

So tell everyone you know.

"If everyone is thinking alike, then somebody isn't thinking."

General George S. Patton

Quote of the Month

Runs until 11/07/2012

"Battle is the most magnificent competition in which a human being can indulge. It brings out all that is best; it removes all that is base. All men are afraid in battle. The coward is the one who lets his fear overcome his sense of duty. Duty is the essence of manhood."

General George S. Patton

Bonus Quote

"If you’ve got a business – you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen."

President Barack Hussein Obama II

Follow up to: Thoughts on the Next-Generation iPhone Situation.

This is a Follow up to Thoughts on the Next-Generation iPhone Situation, and I will try to keep it short.
What brings this forth is the AP article Jobs made phone call seeking return of lost iPhone, apparently Steve Jobs got involved in investigation over iPhone lost in the Silicon Valley bar, now I am not going to say that is wrong that Next-Generation iPhone was his company's property and it makes perfect sense. The person who found the iPhone was an idiot selling something that is not yours is criminal, and the journalist was an idiot for thinking that something bad wouldn't happen to him for buying stolen property. (For more on that read my previous post, Thoughts on the Next-Generation iPhone Situation.)

Now that I know his name I want to ask a question to Apple engineer Robert "Gray" Powell and Steve Jobs. First to Apple engineer Robert "Gray" Powell, What the hell were you thinking taking a prototype iPhone out of you workplace. Next to Steve Jobs how have you punished Mr. Powell for his stupidity, he takes a valuable prototype device from your facilities and it seems that you are going after everyone else but him.

Personally what Steve Jobs should do at this point is this, fire Mr. Powell or at least demote him to the mail room. Steve Jobs should ask the prosecutors and courts to do this Brian Hogan should get a large fine and probation, this depends on his criminal history. Jason Chen should get a large fine as well but no probation, but perhaps some public service time. Everyone else in this mess should either get a fine or the charges dropped depending on their level of involvement. This whole thing is ridiculous for the size of mess it has become, if that iPhone had ended up in the hands of someone who had just sold it to someone else or another company this could be a bigger headache for Steve Jobs and Apple, especially if it had ended up in counter-fitters hands. Not that I am diminishing the fact of stolen goods and the selling of stolen property, but he should thank God that it ended up in the hands of a journalist who might have added to the hype to the Next-Generation iPhone.

I will not write anything else on this unless something big happens.

Solomon.
