Welcome to my blog, Solomon's Conservative Wisdom. The name of this blog comes from my middle name and the historical & biblical figure King Solomon. This group is dedicated to conservatism, and I invite all conservatives to join, I really don’t mind non-conservatives joining. All I expect is a respectful debate. So tell everyone you know.

A Rant Related to Independence Day, The Film.
For the last few years I have noticed an increasingly attack towards the film Independence Day, specifically the way the aliens are beaten with a computer virus. The most recent comment that set me off is this one where some critic labeled the aliens as lame, by the way to take a page from Glenn's "book" imagine the commenter wearing a tweed jacket and with a pipe in their mouth, "Large-scale alien invasions are often thwarted by the smallest things. In "War of the Worlds," it was germs. In "Signs," it was water. But lamest of all were the invaders in "ID4," who were beaten by spyware. Don't aliens know not to open email attachments from an unfamiliar senders? If you're going to take over a planet, make sure your Norton Anti-Virus is up to date." Please note that my response is written in what is called "in universe," where I will be treating the events as real for the sake of argument.

Duke Lacrosse Accuser Charged With Attempted Murder, Assault
With the recent news of the former Duke Lacrosse Accuser Charged With Attempted Murder, Assault, I thought I would take the chance to bring up a book in my private library, It's Not About the Truth: The Untold Story of the Duke Lacrosse Case and the Lives It Shattered. If you haven't read it you need to, it tells the full untold story of the Duke Lacrosse Case, and reveals all of the dirty players of the case, not just Mike Nifong's history, (which will surprise you, especially his title of the Chief Asshole of the Durham County district attorney's office, that alone should have you wanting to read the book;) ), but other bad actors in the police department, Duke, and the media's history, which you haven't heard of. It also includes the actions of the supporters of the so called victim, Crystal Gail Mangum. And my favorite part is the fact of a video tape of Crystal's performance at a strip club on March 25, 2006 that Mike Nifong had no interest in. The true story is more then just about one rogue prosecutor.
The book is 320 pages of information on the full untold story of the Duke Lacrosse Case, with a lot more then what I have just told you the link to the book is at Barnes & Noble.com for about six dollars, and is well worth it, it will have you shaking your head at the bad actions and probably laughing at some of the outrageous things the bad actors were doing and did. The book is by Don Yaeger with Mike Pressler the former head coach of the Duke Lacrosse Team.
Check It Out.
Solomon.
P.S. This will be my first post for a new thing I will be trying called Review Wednesday.
Please tell me what you think, and I know it was posted a day late, I had to finish some other posts first. Please post comments on this.
