We all know about the fight over the Mojave Memorial Cross that some have a problem with, well they have finally cracked, some vandals have decided that since the Courts are taking too long they will just remove it.

On April 28, 2010, the US Supreme Court ruled in a 5-4 decision that the cross may stay, they ruled there was no violation of the separation of church and state when Congress transferred the land surrounding the cross to a veteran's group. Writing for the majority, Justice Anthony Kennedy wrote, "The goal of avoiding governmental endorsement of religion does not require eradication of all religious symbols in the public realm".
The problem here is simple the militant atheists want to eradicate all religious symbols from the public realm, starting with Christan symbols. If they can not win in the Courts then they will do what all thugs will move to intimidation and destruction, the removal of this cross is only the first (major) shot in this war. I personally have no problem with atheists if you believe the facts point to there being no God or higher power fine, but those of you who are not aligned with the militant atheists might find yourselves dragged in to a war you don't want to fight. The militant atheists have shown they are willing to do what ever it takes to have their way, even if it angers most of America.
Now it is possible that atheists didn't do this but as they say in small claims court its the preponderance of the evidence, and it was atheists who wanted it gone and with out any other evidence they are the ones to look at.

P.S. My father was a Veteran, and this action angers me, in a way words can not truly express. I will post something which I have been thinking about in relation to this in a way, I will explain more when I post it.
It grieves me deeply that someone who do such a horrible thing as that, but let us hope that our Heavenly Father will use it to encourage them to take a good long look at their hearts. For this is a clear-cut case of wicked intent--even if it was only meant as a prank.

ReplyDeleteas a Veteran my self.this angers me to no end.No One has the right to dictate what ma and may net be displayed.Even thought i despice the neo natzi movement the do have the right to say their garbadge.it is what Out miltary has faught for.Just as that cross has a right to be displayed especially sice it is a war memorial.
