Welcome to Solomon's Conservative Wisdom

Welcome to my Conservative Blog, Solomon's Conservative Wisdom. The name comes from my middle name and the historical & biblical figure King Solomon, now I make no claim to have Solomon's Wisdom, but I do have Common Sense. I welcome anyone to join in and comment about anything I may have written, posted or one of my Articles / Columns. This blog is dedicated to conservatism and freedom. I invite all conservatives to join in, I don’t mind non-conservatives joining in (after all the only way to change liberals and fence-sitters is to debate them and change their minds, some are just too hard headed to admit they are wrong) . All I expect is a respectful debate.

I have recently split my postings to a few other blogs I own, Solomon's Conservative Wisdom, Solomon's Conservative Wisdom II, and Solomon's Conservative Wisdom at Townhall.com, to spread out some of my postings.
So check them out and tell me what you think.

Please comment on my Articles and Columns, as well as any other post that is not just a link to a story.

I want to know what others think and have a debate. And make sure to check out my Articles and Columns if you haven't already.

So tell everyone you know.

Quote of the Month

Runs until 11/07/2012

"Battle is the most magnificent competition in which a human being can indulge. It brings out all that is best; it removes all that is base. All men are afraid in battle. The coward is the one who lets his fear overcome his sense of duty. Duty is the essence of manhood."

General George S. Patton

"If you’ve got a business – you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen."

Christan Symbolizes, A Card Game, and Two Countries.

After the Mojave Memorial Cross was stolen I decided to do something I had been thinking about doing for a while, to show a seres of cards from the card game Yu-Gi-Oh! Now you might be wondering why you should look at these cards, for a kids game, well I am showing the original Japanese versions of the cards, which have Christan Symbolizes on them, and the American version that has had the Christan Symbolizes removed. Read more below and see the cards.

First I want to put out a few quick facts about Japan, Japan's current population is approximately 127,380,000, of that population only 2% of that population profess to be Christians, the remaining population is split between Buddhism, Shintoism and some atheism. Now here is the kicker the Japanese cards below all have Christan Symbolizes on them.
The card game itself comes from a Japanese manga created by Kazuki Takahashi, who started the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga with no intention to create a card game. And if anyone is curious I have no idea what Kazuki Takahashi's religion is.

Now first is the American version of the card, then the Japanese version is after that.

The American card has the Cross removed and is replaced with a more secular tombstone.

The American card has a magic circle apparently raising the dead, while the Japanese version has a cross over the grave with the person rising from the dead suggesting a Christan reference of resurrection.

Next we have a card that Japanese version references possibly an exorcism, showing what looks like a priest holding a cross and the Bible, note the word on the Book is in English and says Bible. While the American version removes the cross and the Bible and replaces them with what look like potions.

And Lastly we have an angle, which she is a reference to Joan of Ark a national heroine of France and a Catholic saint, while it has the lest removed from it, it is an important point, the American version removes the halo from over her head. Which on a note why would someone find a halo offensive.

There are a few more references to Christianity in the Yu-Gi-Oh! card game, but these are more then enough to make my point. So here is my point why is it that a country with a population that is only 2% Christan can handle Christan Symbolizes in a card game but in a country whose population is majorly Christan can't even stand a Memorial Cross in the Mojave desert? The thing here is Tolerance, tolerating something doesn't mean you have to like it. The problem is the militant atheists don't want to tolerate these symbolizes, and everyone is nervous about raising the ire of these militant atheists.

Solomon

P.S. And yes, I do play the game, there are many adults that play this game, as well as others.

  1. I guess that really goes to show how far the cultural rot has gone. It also shows how far some are willing to go to eliminate all traces of Christianity from our society.
