Welcome to Solomon's Conservative Wisdom

Welcome to my Conservative Blog, Solomon's Conservative Wisdom. The name comes from my middle name and the historical & biblical figure King Solomon, now I make no claim to have Solomon's Wisdom, but I do have Common Sense. I welcome anyone to join in and comment about anything I may have written, posted or one of my Articles / Columns. This blog is dedicated to conservatism and freedom. I invite all conservatives to join in, I don’t mind non-conservatives joining in (after all the only way to change liberals and fence-sitters is to debate them and change their minds, some are just too hard headed to admit they are wrong) . All I expect is a respectful debate.

I have recently split my postings to a few other blogs I own, Solomon's Conservative Wisdom, Solomon's Conservative Wisdom II, and Solomon's Conservative Wisdom at Townhall.com, to spread out some of my postings.
So check them out and tell me what you think.

Please comment on my Articles and Columns, as well as any other post that is not just a link to a story.

I want to know what others think and have a debate. And make sure to check out my Articles and Columns if you haven't already.

So tell everyone you know.

"If everyone is thinking alike, then somebody isn't thinking."

General George S. Patton

Quote of the Month

Runs until 11/07/2012

"Battle is the most magnificent competition in which a human being can indulge. It brings out all that is best; it removes all that is base. All men are afraid in battle. The coward is the one who lets his fear overcome his sense of duty. Duty is the essence of manhood."

General George S. Patton

Bonus Quote

"If you’ve got a business – you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen."

President Barack Hussein Obama II

What is Wrong With my Generation.

What is Wrong With my Generation.

As I have said elsewhere when I was in High School my fellow peers thought Bill Clinton was cool I thought otherwise, and this was before the "blue dress". The problem is my generation, those between the ages of twenty-five and thirty-five in my opinion have a warped sense of self, they are self important, is all about them, they know it all, and they idealize people like Che, Bill Clinton, and Barack Obama.

The genesis of this is the comments by Barbara Bush, the 28-year-old daughter of former President George W. Bush, on FoxNews Sunday Chris Wallace asked her whether she supports President Obama's health care reform plan, she responded: "I guess I'm glad the bill was passed." She further said, "Why do, basically, people with money have good health care and why do people who live on lower salaries not have good health care?" she said. "Health should be a right for everyone."

Bush women run afoul of GOP orthodoxy

This is why Obama won in the first place thinking like that, why doesn't she support more free choice in the health-care marketplace? Consider medical options that have come down considerably in the last ten to fifteen years such as plastic surgery and LASIK surgery both have comedown in price while other surgeries and medical treatments have gotten more expensive in price. The problem is the ability of the Doctors to properly compete, for example some time ago a doctor wanted to charge a flat fee for people so they could come in any time with out an appointment, at least that is what I think it was, I spent two hours trying to find the story and couldn't find it so if any one knows a link to the story post it in the comments box below.

This thing of "rights" is one of the things that drives me crazy, my generation think everything should be a right, right to housing, right to food, i.e. pizza, hamburgers, hotdogs, right to video games, the right to not have their parents knowing what they are doing, the right to privacy, in other words if you thought your kid is doing drugs even if its just marijuana you can't go in to their room to search because it would "violate their rights," and it goes on and on.

It seems that most of my generation has jumped onto the progressive train with their nihilistic ideas leading them to join with these people with plans that come strait out of the post World War I activities of the European Progressives, they don't care and won't until they see the new Gestapo coming to their neighbor's house and theirs.

And on that thought I want to include here something from the original V series, in the middle of the clip is what I want you to watch and listen to.

And also this one,

Solomon.

P.S. And inspired by that series I did these,

  1. Excellent, Solomon. I remember that series well. It does disturb me that so many from the age range you cited are still indoctrinated. I was out of that by 25-26. It didn't take long, working for a living, to realize that socialism is a steaming pile of fail.

  2. So true.

But my generation has had the former "hippies" tell them, like Al Gore, their parents are the ones who are wrong. As well as conservatives too, of course.
